FOR COFFEE

For far too long, the church has been known for what it is against.
We want to be known for what we are for.
We are FOR Coffee.

What is FOR...

“FOR” is a heart posture- a decision to champion and support the businesses in our community, to actively invest in the next generation, to steward our resources in a way that benefits our neighbors as well as our family, to fight for our marriages and advocate for the voiceless, and to believe that Coffee County is at its best when its residents feel proud to live here.

How it all started...

GracePointe Church was planted and organized on August 1, 2000 in Douglas, Georgia. GracePointe was conceived out of the vision of a small group of people, led by Ridley Barron, the founding pastor, who were looking to begin a different kind church experience for those who are unchurched and for those have been disenfranchised from churches in the past

This vision has continued and grown as GracePointe Church seeks to help the unbelieving world and those who believe that God is good and that life is found in Jesus Christ.

Expanding our vision...

This vision has continued and grown as GracePointe Church seeks to help the unbelieving world and those who believe that God is good and that life is found in Jesus Christ.

One driving passion expressed in four deliberate practices...

WORSHIP
God is worthy of our worship. His Son Jesus, our lamb, was slain so that we could have life. All who He is and what He has done moves us to praise His name. We do this by gathering in a corporate worship services on Sunday mornings. We worship God by remembering the gospel through preaching, teaching, singing, praying and other creative expressions. Each presents an opportunity for the church and the unchurched to respond to the grace of God.

DISCIPLESHIP
Jesus Christ gave His church a specific directive to be and to make disciples. We seek to grow as His disciples by learning and following Jesus Christ through His Word, the Bible. We pursue fulfilling His commission to the church by sharing the gospel with everyone that God places in our path. We do this by inviting people to join our Bible Studies, D-Groups (small groups) and other discipling venues.

STEWARDSHIP
Since the beginning of creation God has invited us to join Him in overseeing the earth. Each of us has been given time, treasures and talents to use for His glory. At GracePointe, we want everyone to be faithful and fruitful with what God has entrusted to their care. We pursue this by encouraging everyone to discover and employ their SHAPE (spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality and experiences). Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to serve in projects and in programs. We encourage each person to cheerfully give both tithes and offerings.

FELLOWSHIP
Relationships are valuable and a necessary for life. Our community is built upon growing in love for one another by sharing our blessings and our burdens. We seek to share in fellowship with one another by providing opportunities throughout the year to eat and to pray together. Our fellowship with God is celebrated through the Lord’s Supper at various fellowship gatherings and during our worship services.
